Today, in a letter written by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), signed by its Director of Legal Services, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola to Senator Buruji Kashamu in Ogun State, content of which stops Kashamu not to campaign for any political posts in the state.
Copy of the letter which was not released for publicity by Newsmen richly detailed certain reasons with legal references why the Senator has been asked to desist from his campaign plans.
The National leadership of the Peoples Democratic party on Friday presented the PDP official Governorship flag to Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu and his deputy, Alhaja Opeyemi Jemilat Alagbe as the party candidates for the 2019 Gubernatorial election in Ogun State. The National Chairman of the Party, Prince Uche Secondus while handing over the flag at the PDP Wadata house in Abuja said Adebutu like other candidates from other states fulfilled all provisions by the electoral law and the party constitution to emerge as the party Candidate in Ogun State. According to a release issued by the Media Consultant to Ladi Adebutu Democratic Organisation, Secondus was quoted to have said "after obtaining the nomination forms from the Party Secretariat, Ladi Adebutu participated in the candidates' screening exercise and was duly elected in the party's primary election conducted by our National working Committee, therefore, he is qualified to be the flag bearer of our party in Ogun Stat
